Become a User!

The principal steps in becoming a user are:

1. WPI Community: Self-enroll at the Canvas site for the User-Friendly Characterization Laboratory (UFC-LAB) and take the Interest Survey. Read and follow the detailed steps in the module called Prospective UFC-Lab Users. Prospective External Users: Contact Professor Burnham, nab@wpi.edu.
   
2. Get trained by one of our faculty or staff volunteers.
   
3. Take and pass the Canvas Quizzes for the tool(s) you want to use, as well as the Lab Access Quiz.
   
4. Wait for and accept the Clustermarket/Bookkit invitation for scheduling your usage, as well as the WPI-ID card access authorization to the lab in Olin Hall 009.
   
5. Please always use Clustermarket/Bookkit for scheduling your lab time.
