Brian Riley (MSc candidate)

Brian is a second-year master’s student in the Biology and Biotechnology program. He was raised in Portland, Maine and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pa) in 2024. His research in the Vieux lab focuses on the terminal nucleotidyl transferase GLDR-2, investigating its RNA tailing targets and regulatory effects at both the cellular and physiological levels in C. elegans. Outside of the lab, Brian is a member of the NCAA Baseball team at WPI, loves playing ice hockey, exercising and being outside with his family and dog, and is an avid Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fan.
