Stormwater Regulation in Central Massachusetts

We are  Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Phase II MS4 Stormwater Pilot Team.  We are currently working with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental protection to help populate a database (the Zoho Database) which will contain information regarding the MS4 (separate stormwater sewer systems).  This database will allow the Massachusetts Department of Environmental protection to have a better understanding of where the 13 municipalities we are working with (Auburn, Charlton, Dudley, Holden, Leicester, Millbury, Oxford, Paxton, Shrewsbury, Spencer, Sturbridge, Webster, and West Boylston) are lacking in their permit compliance.

The IQP team is composed of three junior engineers.  Alex Barat, a biomedical engineer, Randy Chin, a biomedical engineer, and Will Feraco a Mechanical Engineer.  Together in conjunction with our sponsors, we will be able to effectively complete the Zoho database and help the 13 municipalities with their compliance issues.

Check out our team video!

We will be posting a weekly blog about our project progress as well as anything interesting that we encounter on IQP!
