African Community Education: Enhancing Alumni Engagement

About the Project:

The sponsor of this project was the African Community Education (ACE) organization. The goal of our project was to research best practices in the area to improve alumni engagement of students and families who leave ACE and to create a database for those alumni to help them stay connected. The database will provide ACE staff with alumni information such as contact information, location, social media, etc. Our recommended programs will hopefully be used by ACE in the future so that ACE alumni are constantly involved in the organization.

Student Researchers:

Luigi Apollon, Courtney Flokos & Jihan Nabahani

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Conduct research and interviews to help ACE gather information and to find good alternative solutions to see what ACE alumni want in an alumni program.
  2. Create an alumni database to keep them in touch with the organization and with each other, which can be useful for surveys, networking, mentorship, and various other programs.
  3. Form recommendations that would aid ACE to create alumni programs.
