Lesson 1 – Intro to the Servo Motor
In this lesson, students will explore servo motors, learning how they work and how to program them effectively. This knowledge will prepare them to apply servos in their final project, combining everything they’ve learned throughout the Intro to Robotics course.
Lesson 2 – Final Course Project
In this culminating lesson, students will bring together everything they’ve learned throughout the course. They will use motor control, encoders, and sensors such as the ultrasonic and reflectance sensors, applying proportional control strategies to program their robots with precision. Drawing on their knowledge of servo motors and physics concepts, students will design and refine their code to successfully navigate a maze. The project concludes with a friendly in-class time trial, where students put their skills to the test and see whose robot can complete the maze the fastest.
