Info for Sponsors
Projects in the Boston Project Center emphasize problems involving issues related to sustainability and the environment. Each year we review the project proposals and suggestions from potential sponsors and select projects that support the goals of the project center, meet the needs of the sponsors, and provide excellent educational opportunities for the students. The students complete an extensive project report, present their results to the sponsor, and present the results in a final presentation. The projects are excellent educational experiences for the students, and also help the sponsors in addressing topics that are important to their mission.
Sponsors are expected to identify a relevant topic of interest, meet with the students to align the project goal/objectives/tasks, provide space at their facility as appropriate to the projects, and provide a liaison during the 7-week project period who will guide the students work and make sure it meets their needs. This typically involves at least two meetings per week and availability to provide information and answer questions.
Projects for have been set for the current 2025-6 academic year. However, we welcome sponsors for the next academic year! We are always interested in new project opportunities. Potential sponsors are welcome to contact Seth Tuler or Paul Mathisen to discuss potential options for future projects.
