The Alatalo laboratory focuses on engineering solutions for maternal-child health while training the next generation of engineers. To achieve our goal, we employ a multidisciplinary approach and welcome students from various disciplines to conduct research.

Our current research projects focus on understanding breastfeeding and lactation. We are recruiting for 4 projects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
