Dr. Becca Thomases is Professor and Department Chair of Mathematics at Smith College. She visited WPI in November to deliver a colloquium talk titled “Micro-organism locomotion in viscoelastic fluids.” AWM was honored to host a coffee hour with her before the talk!

This was a fun social event organized with WPI’s Crochet Club! Students enjoyed coffee, pastries, and conversation while learning how to crochet hyperbolic surfaces.
