CEDAR Evaluation
As part of the evaluation process, formative evaluation, including exploration of trainee perceptions of the program, implementation and alignment of proposed project design, impacts of skill development sessions, and development of a collaborative community among the project team, will be gathered throughout the project via ongoing observations and informal interviews, bi-annual successive survey administrations, and annual focus group sessions. Summative evaluation protocols will include formal interviews, project design checklists, record reviews, and summative surveys to determine the extent to which the project promotes advanced cutting-edge interdisciplinary re-search among NRT trainees, develops diverse interdisciplinary minded STEM professionals with high levels of technical and transferable skills (including in communication), and creates sustainable improvements in the Institution’s graduate program.
