Glacier’s Night Skies
Help us preserve the night sky in Glacier National Park
The First Of Its Kind
In 1932, Glacier National Park (Montana, USA) combined with Water Lakes National Park (Alberta, Canada) to form the first International Peace Park. In 2017, the park was designated as an International Dark Sky Park with provisional status by the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). Working together, the parks represent the commitment to reducing light pollution across international borders.
