The Yang Research Group focuses on developing deep-tissue bio-interactive implant systems for advancing implantable therapeutics. Our research integrates interdisciplinary expertise in multiscale material design, implant mechanics, and bio-interaction control and modulation. The goal of research is to push the scientific boundary of the fundamental understanding of implant design, mechanics, biological interactions, and the synthesis-property-performance relationship, and to improve public health, from bench to bedside, especially for patients living with implanted materials and devices.
