Welcome to the Yang Lab at WPI. We are an interdisciplinary research group with expertise in mechanics, materials, and biotechnology. The current research focuses on the multiscale design and engineering of soft materials and their integrated systems with on-demand properties and functionalities for healthcare and sustainability.

Our research combines theoretical modeling and experiments to gain a fundamental understanding of soft material systems and their interactions with environments, and use the understanding to develop new soft materials and technologies for a variety of medical and engineering applications.
