Welcome to the Yang Lab at WPI. We are an interdisciplinary research group with expertise in mechanics, materials, and biotechnology. The current research focuses on the design, synthesis, and engineering of soft materials and their integrated systems across multiple length scales for on-demand mechanical, physical, and biological functionalities. The research combines theoretical modeling and experiments to gain fundamental knowledge of soft material systems and their intricate interactions and develop soft material technologies for healthcare and medical sustainability.
