Students using the hammocks near the Student Center

Hanging Around

Hammocks are definitely a thing at WPI. A new “park,” situated next to the Rubin Campus Center and consisting of a handful of poles in the grass, was a gift from the Class of 2022. Students may sign out a hammock at the Campus Center help desk. A picnic table was also installed in the area to improve accessibility for those who might not be able to use a hammock. The park was officially dedicated at Homecoming in September.
