Sense of Place: Sweet Success

The men’s basketball team made a memorable run in the NCAA Division III tournament this March, defeating Husson University and Ithaca College in the first two rounds in front of an enthusiastic home crowd at Harrington Auditorium. The Engineers were stopped by top-seeded Wesleyan University in the sectional semifinals played in Middletown, Conn. This was the team’s fourth Sweet 16 appearance and its 26–4 record is the second-best in program history. 

Aidan Callahan ’25 and Tim Reidy ’25 were selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District team. Callahan was also selected to the NABC Division III Men’s Basketball All-Star team, a first in program history. He also earned consensus All-America status from both the NABC and D3hoops.com. Additionally, Head Coach Chris Bartley was recognized as the NABC District 2 Coach of the Year.
