WPI’s Reimagined Homecoming Weekend 2025
By combining Reunion festivities with Homecoming Weekend, more alumni will have the opportunity to return to The Hill during a dynamic time on campus.
Read StoryAs I step into my new role as the Alumni Association president, I find myself reflecting on the deep pride and gratitude I feel for this community. From the moment I first stepped onto The Hill, I’ve seen WPI as a place of curiosity, collaboration, and heart—and it’s the people who bring that to life. With that in mind, I’d like to express my deepest thanks to my predecessor, Pamela (Giasson) Lynch ’05, for her commitment and service to our alumni community.
I look forward to serving you with the 20 Alumni Association Board of Director members who represent classes ranging from 1965 to 2023 and geographic locations from New England to California. Moving forward, the Alumni Association Board of Directors will continue to partner with the university with a focus on increased alumni engagement within the WPI community. One of the key ways we are doing this is by hosting alumni-led events, called Gathering Our Herd, in your respective neighborhoods.
The Alumni Association has sponsored numerous meaningful and impactful Gathering Our Herd events to date, and this year’s plans include events in Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, D.C./Maryland, and other locations still to be confirmed. Keep a lookout in the Bridge newsletter for more information on what’s happening at WPI and in your neighborhood. Or better yet, step up to host a Gathering Our Herd event in your area. We’ll help you! If you are interested in volunteering to host a Gathering Our Herd, please don’t hesitate to email arly.dungca@gmail.com.
Lastly, I invite you to return to campus and experience that unique WPI energy in full force during Homecoming Weekend 2025, taking place Sept. 25–28. New this year, Homecoming and Reunion weekends have been combined and will give alumni the opportunity to reconnect with their community, including students and faculty. Whether it’s been a few years or a few decades since your last visit, Homecoming Weekend is a powerful reminder of what all alumni share—lifelong friendships, transformative learning, and a commitment to solving real-world problems. The weekend will be packed with Reunion celebrations, athletic events, and opportunities to connect with students and faculty. It’s more than a celebration—it’s a chance to rekindle that WPI spirit and make new memories alongside old friends. I’ll be there, and I hope to see as many of you as possible. Let’s fill the campus with crimson and gray, laughter, and pride. Please consider returning to campus as WPI celebrates Homecoming Weekend 2025. Information and registration can be found at wpi.edu/+homecoming.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our alma mater. Here’s to the year ahead and to all we will accomplish—together.
