Nathaniel O’Connor Received 3rd Place at ASGSR Competition
Ph.D. students Nathaniel O’Connor and Alexander Castaneda attended the 2022 annual conference for the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR) in Houston, Texas. Nathaniel participated in the graduate student poster competition and received the 3rd place award out of 72 poster presentations. His poster, entitled “Understanding the Effects of Temperature on ElectroHydroDynamic (EHD) Pumping Performance for Thermal Management in Space”, described recent advances in understanding of EHD conduction phenomenon, and how such understanding will aid in the design of future EHD-based thermal management systems for satellites and spacecraft.
The event was sponsored by NASA.
