Student Resources
Welcome to WPI!
For those of you who are new to the WPI community, here are the key steps you need to participate in a program and helpful links to guide you through your graduate journey. Remember, you can utilize your WPI Operations Manager at anytime for assistance.
Student Expectations
Course Delivery
Courses and programs are developed for your specific company. Your operations manager will update you on how each course will be delivered. Students are informed of their upcoming course approximately one month in advance.
Coursework & Homework
You should expect to spend an average of 15 hours per week on class work; this is in addition to the lectures. Some courses may require a heavier workload.
Educational Background
Each department requires different credentials for admission; however, admission to a WPI graduate program often requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited institution.
Payment
Tuition is charged to your student account when you enroll in each course. Tuition payment is due by the start of that respective course. Late fees may apply for overdue tuition.

Key Terms to Understand
Cohort: Group of students participating in the same corporate program. For the most part, the students in the cohort progress through the degree at the same time.
Synchronous: Communications are in real-time and are seen as a live conversation. If a WPI class has a synchronous portion, it will be for a specific day and time of the week. You are expected to participate at this day and time.
Asynchronous: Communications take place outside of real time. Example: The professor posts a discussion question, and you respond anytime within the given assigned dates.
