ABOUT US
Who we are:
Goat Fast Racing, the WPI Society of Automotive Engineers chapter, is an active club focused on designing and building a competition worthy car. At the end of each year, the car is entered into a SAE hosted competition, where it is judged in a series of static and dynamic events, including technical inspection, cost, presentation, engineering design, solo performance trials and high performance endurance.
On the side, we also have other projects such as restoring one of the few remaining EV-1s and retrofitting past competition cars for driving outings.
Where we came from:
In 1976, a team of students from WPI competed in the first Mini Baja competition. The club itself was founded in 1985 and has continued to design and build cars for the past 35 years.
