Christof Heisser and Michel Garat Awarded Prestigious ACRC Awards

At the annual ACRC meeting in June, two valued members of ACRC will be honored. Christof Heisser will be presented the 2013 prestigious Ray H. Witt Award. The award is given to those who exhibit leadership in the aluminum casting industry, who invest resources in its future, and educate and train new talent. Christof is the President of MAGMA Foundry Technologies, Inc., which helps customers integrate progressive simulation technology into their operations.
The Merton C. Flemings Award will be presented to Michel Garat whose expertise has been greatly valued by ACRC. The award is given to individuals who significantly contribute to the commercial application of the solidification processing fundamentals. Michel has an impressive career. He worked for over 30 years with Aluminum Pechiney and most recently Rio Tinto Alcan. Currently retired, Michel works as a consultant in the field of aluminum foundry alloy metallurgy and casting processes.
