Artist Statement:
This acrylic art is of an old woman with a beaming smile. She is of wrinkled skin and has almost no teeth, yet shows a sign of ultimate happiness. Many countries have started giving less priority in treating old people who got affected with Covid. Many of us have started to sympathize less for their deaths as if it’s just a number- this is not okay! They carry significant morals and values to the society, tirelessly passing on the same to the young ones. They are the pillars of a culturally and morally strong future generation. We need them always- now more than ever! They deserve to live as much as we do. We have to treat them, sympathize with them and be supportive during this pandemic. Let us do whatever we can to save them as much we want to save ourselves.
