Theme: Community in Isolation

Artist Statement:
My painting that was created in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic is influenced by the theme ”Community in Isolation.” The new moon represents the hard times everyone is experiencing now and the brighter clouds represent the small positive things in life we generally take for granted. We can all look up and see the stars together and feel a common connection. The night is a reset button, where everyone is calm with the promise of eventual “normalcy.”
