The primary objective of this project is to Identify and test bromine leaching agents for recovery of valuable elements such as Sb from industrial by-products; suitable materials including drosses, powders and other finely grained by-products, as well as materials that can be finely ground for leaching. Project’s scope includes leaching optimization and investigating the downstream process of the leaching solution and residue. Goals include adding sustainability to current industrial processes; minimization of waste products in recycling processes; and increasing fundamental knowledge development around bromine applications. Currently, there are no industrial application for Sb recovery using Bromine compounds
