The iron industry roadmap is being set up and progressing very well on the reduction of the carbon footprint. Their roadmap and projects can be an example for lead industry. This project seeks to build up a technology roadmap of lead industry on this knowledge by literature study and site visit to iron and lead blast furnace operations, and explore which technology and process elements could be translated to the lead blast furnace. We will compare several blast furnace operation within CR3. Possible technologies and their potential/cost to lower CO2 output will be listed.
