NACE: Nationally, Class of 2012 Outpaces 2011 in Hiring and Salaries
The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) recently released data that shows an early trend of new graduates faring better in the job market than last year. According to the study published in May, of the Class of 2012 graduates that applied for jobs, 44.2% received at least one job offer versus 41.4% in 2011.
Of the students surveyed across the U.S., NACE has also seen a 4.5% rise in average salaries for the Class of 2012. According to the report, median wages have grown the most in math and science disciplines with Computer Science fields showing the most dramatic salary increase.
