Brain-Based Creativity Support Tools

Creating a system that can accurately detect the mental state of the user is beneficial to determining the type of inspiration that should be delivered for more effective help during the creative process.

We are exploring using fNIRS brain data to infer the user’s mental state in order to build a system that delivers a semantically far or near stimulus at the right time for increased idea quantity and quality.
