Dr. Karen Troy was a speaker and panelist during the symposium: Crying Wolff – 130 Years of Wolff’s Law. Her portion of the symposium was titled “Human Bone Adaptation and Creation through Mechanosensation – Translation!” and featured research done in the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab at WPI and by other awesome biomechanists in the field.
PhD candidate, Julia Nicolescu, presented her work Bone Mineral Density Discordance in Male Runners with Metatarsal Bone Stress Injury.
Dr. Karen Troy presented on behalf of lab alum, Brenna Hedad, MS. Brenna’s project was titled Patterns of Change in Distal Radius Failure Criterion Are Linked to Circum-menarcheal Contrasts in Mechanical Loading Exposure.
