CR3 Adds Four New Research Projects
During the CR3 Annual Spring Meeting, four new research projects were introduced:
- Online Slag and Bullion Analysis by LIBS
Objective: to explore the accuracy and robustness of LIBS for Cu, Pb slag or fayalitic slag and bullion analysis - Recovery of Valuable Metals from Flue Dust and Other Fines from Mechanical Treatment of e‐Scrap
Objective: to recover value-added metals and materials from Flue Dust and Other Fines from Mechanical Treatment of e-Scrap - Hydrometallurgical Treatment of e‐Scrap
Objective: to develop a process to economically recycle e scrap utilizing hydrometallurgy - Battery Design for Disassembly in Support of Materials Reuse
Objective: to develop the EV battery design for disassembly to support reuse of materials
These projects will add to the current portfolio of projects which include:
- Rare Earth Metals Recovery from Bauxite Residue
- Recovery of Valuable Metals from Fines
- Reuse Opportunities for BauxiteResidue
- Scrap Characterization
- Synthesis of Inorganic Polymers from Metallurgical Residues
- Value Recovery from Mining Wastes
