[IQP] Saint Mary’s Parish Records Digitization Project

Abstract: St. Mary’s Parish has physical records that need to be digitized into an existing MySQL database to prevent the loss of important information for the community. Our goal is to create a bulk import function that allows the church to import CSV files containing this important information and upload the images associated with the information. This was achieved by creating PHP code files that formed the import and upload button on the database homepage and linked the connection between the code and the MySQL database. In conclusion, we created an import and upload function that enables the church to preserve their records in a MySQL database and allow them to print out the info onto a certificate. To further improve the project, adding security, reformatting the certificate printout, and fixing the search function from last year’s team would be extremely beneficial for St. Mary’s Parish.
