Theme: Empathy in Challenging Times
Medium: Oil Paint
Artist Statement:
At the beginning of the pandemic, social media was a dangerous place to be. Users were bombarded with headlines and personal account all pertaining to the damage and danger of the virus. I found myself extremely overwhelmed, and took a break from my phone for a few days to create this piece with oil paint. It’s not the greatest in technique, but it eased my stress in a time of fear.
