As most, if not all, projects require that students effectively find and use information to complete a project, this chapter describes working with librarians to incorporate information literacy skill building in project-based courses, along with specific activities and exercises to help faculty and librarians get started.

Bakermans and Rebecca Ziino Plotke’s paper “Assessing information literacy instruction in interdisciplinary first year project-based courses with STEM students” measures changes in student perceptions of their competency in information literacy after continuous efforts in course curriculum.
