Researchers from around the world gathered at Brunel University in London this past December to celebrate 50 years of solidification research by Professor John Hunt on his 75^th birthday. Professor Makhlouf Makhlouf, WPI Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of ACRC, presented, “The evolution of the contemporary theory of formation and chemical modification of the aluminium-silicon eutectic.” Information about the John Hunt International Symposium can be found here.
