On September 30th, the OER Team – in conjunction with colleagues from the College of Arts and Sciences @ WPI – participated in the Social Justice Summit. The two-day event highlighted inclusive practices and critical reflection on how we can make our teaching, research, and community membership a more vibrant, engaged, and inclusive space for our student, staff, and faculty colleagues.
Our session “Shining a Light on Student Access and Inclusion: Practices for Inclusive Pedagogy”, focused on our classroom and teaching practices and ways in which we can leverage language, thoughtful syllabus preparation, and OERs to make education more accessible and inclusive.
