Project Centers
WPI is excited to promote several on-campus and local IQP opportunities related to sustainability. An important aspect of SL3 is studying our own campus and applying what we learn to our daily operations and activities.

Energy & Sustainability Center
The purpose of this project center is to coordinate and support undergraduate student project work in all aspects of energy as well as across all areas of academic inquiry at WPI. It includes consideration of projects on the WPI campus as well as projects off-campus in collaboration with external organizations. Projects within this center typically run for 3-terms of the year alongside other classes.
Sustaining WPI Center
The Sustaining WPI project center focuses on sustainability practices and research on our campus and takes place annually during D-term. Contact Suzanne LePage (slepage@wpi.edu) or Derren Rosbach (drosbach@wpi.edu) for more information.
Water Resources Outreach Center
The WROC is a theme-based project center, focused on the theme of water resources protection and takes place annually during D-term. Topic areas include drinking water supply, storm water management, wastewater management, and climate change mitigation. These projects also assist the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MA DEP) expand their capacity and help the watershed associations and coalitions as they tackle challenging water resources issues. Worcester Community Project Center
The WCPC integrates undergraduate engineering and science education with community needs. Ensuring a truly community-based approach, the sponsoring community organizations, local politicians and their constituencies define the problems to which the WCPC responds.
