Student Presentations on Nanoparticles and Bacterial Surfaces at BMES
Camesano lab group students Mary Schwartz and Christina Bailey presented on their research at the Biomedical Engineering Society’s Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington. The meeting was held from September 25-28 at the Washington State Convention Center.
Mary presented on work she is completing for her senior thesis, entitled AFM Adhesion Analysis of Pseudomonas fluorescens. This work has been part of a collaboration with Professor George O’Toole and Dr. Chelsea Boyd at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
Christina presented her work on The Interactions of Gold Nanoparticles with Model Cell Membranes.
Both projects are funded in part by the National Science Foundation.
