Prof. Camesano presents Presidential Lecture at SUNY-IT

On October 8, 2013, Professor Camesano presented in the Presidential Lecture series at SUNY-IT in Utica, NY.  She presented a lecture entitled, Exploring the Health Benefits of Cranberries: Understanding how Cranberries Prevent Bacterial Adhesion. In this talk, she presented an overview of the effects of cranberries on urinary tract health, biofilm formation, and other fundamental processes of bacterial adhesion.  A video of the presentation can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi9U7hqHs_c

SUNY-IT is New York’s public polytechnic.  As part of a substantial expansion in campus infrastructure, a $13 million student center, a $20 million field house and a $23.5 million residence hall were completed in 2011-2012. The next major construction project planned is a technology complex including the Computer Chip Commercialization Center. This new center, called  “Nano Utica,” will be a $1.5 billion computer chip consortium  based at the SUNY-IT campus.
