Generative Design: Introducing Computing in Creative Applications
In this workshop, participants will learn about generative design and its application to creative domains. Generative designers work in many creative fields–including architecture, music, visual arts, crafting, and games–writing algorithms that can act as human designers normally would. This is a hands-on workshop, where we will both talk about existing approaches to generative design and look at examples of what it is and why it’s used, and then create our own generative algorithms in the form of playable games. No programming experience required! Come and learn how computer science is used to make a difference in our creative world.
