Imagine a Robot…

Participants will work in pairs using Lego Robot Kits to program a robot to perform a task that represents how robotics can be used towards accomplishing a UN sustainable development goal! For example, Imagine a robot… that could collect trash for Goal 15 Life on Land! Participants will make a TikTok video or Instagram video talking about what their robot can do! Participants will learn how to program an XRP robot and work in teams, and have a chance to see a teleoperated humanoid robot demo from the Human Inspired Robotics Lab.

Physics

STEM Illuminated: Discovering Light and Materials

Investigate the properties of light and materials, such as disappearing images, how eyeglasses work, and art using UV-light and IR-camera. Use a special tool called the atomic force microscope and take some images of compact discs, butterfly wings, and others!
