Abstract

This project, prepared for Country Fire Authority (CFA), developed a framework for educating Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in the City of Greater Dandenong, Victoria, Australia about fire safety. Through literature research and interviews, we identified CALD community networks, determined community fire risks and documented best practises of other organizations. Specifically: 1) assesses current CFA strategies, 2) created a communication model for any given CALD community, and 3) developed recommendations that will add value to CFA programs.
