Stewart Lab Participates in 2022 TouchTomorrow Festival

The Stewart Lab participated in the 2022 TouchTomorrow. A festival for science, technology, and robots hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The festival was hosted at Polar Park and over 6,000 people came to the event throughout the day. The Stewart Lab provided a hands-on activity for kids to learn about bacterial biofilms and the components they are made of. Kids were able to build their own biofilm models with materials that represented matrix, which can be comprised of sugars, eDNA, and proteins, surrounding the bacteria.
