Habitat for Humanity Introduction Page

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

We are the Habitat for Humanity Team: Enrique De La Cruz, Michael Potter and Joseph Rubino

Our Sponsoring Organization: Habitat for Humanity

Our Sponsor: Tim Firment Executive Director

Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester was founded in 1985 and in 2010 started its ReStore program.  The ReStore program is essentially the backbone for the Habitat for Humanity’s building operations. It allows the public to donate furniture, appliances, building materials and other items that are no longer wanted, but are still reusable. Customers then come and shop for these items at a discounted price.  The proceeds the ReStore obtains from these sales drives the home building projects  for underprivileged  families and makes Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester what it is today.

The goal of this project is to improve operations and marketing of the ReStore program to enhance sales and donations. This will be accomplished through completing the following objectives: (1) create a marketing strategy for the ReStore program; (2) develop enhanced and systemic communication with the businesses and communities in Central Massachusetts to enhance donations; and (3) evaluate and improve inventory and retailing operations at the ReStore facility.
