Project Description
While the Latino Education Institute (LEI) provide exceptional services to their students, the organization is relatively small and is currently investing in more insight in their programs via usage of a new internal database and solidifying communication from their alumni network. Our team has developed a system consisting of an alumni survey with the focus of receiving feedback from various LEI alumni in addition to data visualizations in order for the institute and potential sponsors of the organization to view the impact LEI’s various programs have had on their students.

The Latino Education Institute was founded in 2000 and has focused on providing educational and financial resources such as English language learning and aid programs to numerous Latino families in need over their 22 years of service.

Project Goal and Objectives
The main goal of our project was to solidify the connections between LEI and their alumni network as well as provide useful insight on LEI’s various programs in order to find areas of improvement within the LEI curriculum. To solve this, our project was split into three main objectives:
- Develop a survey addressed to the alumni of LEI that analyzed their overall experience within the Institute’s programs.
- Research survey distribution systems such as Google Forms and SurveyMonkey to see which system would best suit our needs for reaching as many alumni as possible.
- Determine the best way to read the data obtained from the survey, and create tables within LEI’s new database that are consistent with the existing information in the database.
