Column Packing Theory and Practice: Bench to Commercial

Learn the background and skills needed to pack a chromatography column for use when purifying proteins. This hands-on training will explore the techniques used to pack columns using different hardware and different types of resins. We will discuss what information is important to know about the resin being used to help ensure that the column is packed well the first time. The use of HETP and Asymmetry measurements to qualify columns for use after packing will also be discussed along with explanations of the typical signs that indicate a column is not well packed.
