Worcester Red Sox: Persona Development for the Polar Park Mobile Application

Project Sponsor

Our sponsor is the Worcester Red Sox management team.  The Worcester Red Sox are a professional Minor League Baseball team that is scheduled to begin playing in the Spring of 2021. They were recently known as the Pawtucket Red Sox until their relocation into the Canal District of Worcester. The team is a Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and will house potential future MLB players. We are partnering with the Worcester Red Sox management team to contribute in giving life to potentially one of the greatest ballpark mobile applications!

Project Goal

As the Worcester Red Sox project team our goal was to discover the needs of potential audiences for a mobile application.

Project Objectives

Our objective was to collect information on a wide variety of audiences in order to group them collectively by commonality into personas. These personas are intended to give us the information necessary to idealize how mobile app creation can be tailored to various individuals. Through virtual interviews and surveys our group will craft these personas and map their needs from a mobile application. The finished result will be a template of a mobile application that appeals to all attending audiences which as a byproduct will increase traffic to the ballpark and maintain retention rates.
