Potential demo venues should have the following:
- A 10′ x 10′ or larger space free of obstacles with at least nine-foot tall ceilings. The floor should be mostly flat and level, and either high traffic carpet or a hard floor such as laminate, tile, wood, concrete, or a gym floor. Our robots use hard rubber wheels.
- For demos with a presentation, a designated seating area with some space between the robot operating area and the spectators to ensure safe operation.
- A four-foot long table (or longer) to set the robot controls on.
- Access to a power outlet near the table to power the controls.
Great places to hold a demo are gyms, cafeterias, rec rooms, or outside on asphalt or concrete (weather permitting, robots and water do not mix). Other locations, such as in a grassy area, can be accommodated on a case by case basis.
