Are you unsure how to re-imagine your successful in-person activity for use online? Are you responding to the same student questions via email over and over? Are students confused about where to find your content in Canvas? Do you want to brainstorm strategies for keeping your students engaged and excited about learning? We’re here to help!
These open office hours for faculty, staff, and TAs will be run by WPI’s instructional designers, Caitlin Keller and Valerie Smedile Rifkin, in order to support any teaching and learning needs for teaching remotely. As instructional designers, we stay current on best practices in pedagogy and can partner with you to help re-design elements of your in-person course to make them effective in the virtual environment. Feel free to drop into the Zoom office hours to ask questions about remote teaching, request feedback on your lessons or assessments, brainstorm strategies with someone to bounce ideas around with, or simply have a safe place in which to discuss the challenges and benefits of teaching remotely.
Office hours will be available at the same days/times for the rest of D-term. You can also email atc-ttl@wpi.edu to schedule a separate meeting or ask questions asynchronously if these times don’t work for you.
