2020 Projects

The year 2020 was unusual and challenging for individuals and organizations across the world. The Cape Town Project Center (CTPC) was no exception, and we responded to COVID-19 travel restrictions by focusing projects in the local WPI Worcester community. We were delighted to advise six teams working with project sponsors Massachusetts Organization of African Descendants (MOAD), African Community Education (ACE), and Angels-Net Foundation (ANF) on issues related to the African immigrant experience; with the Healing Gardens Institute on program development for therapeutic gardens; and with the Massachusetts Alliance Against Predatory Lending (MAAPL) and the Worcester Anti-Foreclosure Team’s (WAFT) to strengthen housing security in the area.

The work was exciting and challenging, and we trust rewarding for all involved. You will find the students’ reports, presentations, and project materials on these 2020 Projects webpages. Thanks to all – students, project partners and stakeholders, WPI staff and many more – for making 2020 another great year for the Cape Town Project Center!
