The Central Massachusetts Regional Stormwater Coalition is a group of 30 member communities formed to work together to address municipal stormwater management. As neighbors, the 30 communities share stormwater systems, surface water resources, and the need to ensure the long-term protection of these resources. Working as a group allows the Coalition to collectively protect the resources they share, and to meet the requirements of the MS4 Permit in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
The Department of Environmental Protection is the state agency responsible for ensuring clean air and water, the safe management of toxics and hazards, the recycling of solid and hazardous wastes, the timely cleanup of hazardous waste sites and spills, and the preservation of wetlands and coastal resources.
The Coalition works with community partners across Massachusetts. Their mission is the protection and restoration of watershed ecosystems to sustain healthy rivers, streams, lakes, water supplies, terrestrial and aquatic habitats.
