Visit the other pages in this section to learn more about how the Washington Project Center (WPC) was established in 1974 and has continued to operate through 2017. Over 1,200 students have completed over 300 projects at the WPC in the past 43 years. Every year students come down to Washington in October – December where they complete their projects at their sponsoring organization. The unique opportunity to live in our nation’s capital for 2 months leads students to have strong positive experiences, whether it’s  learning about their government, making new friends, or seeing their project have a real impact beyond themselves. Without the enthusiasm of WPC alumni, the timeline within this section would not have been possible to create. It was built entirely on voluntary submissions by alumni, so check it out to see what they have been doing during their time in Washington.
