Abstract

Proper management of a non-profit organization and its finances is important for achieving and maintaining financial stability and for fulfilling its larger mission. Working with the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement (NCSCE), we researched aspects of financially stable organizations, including organizational models and revenue generating streams. We provided the NCSCE with a recommendation concerning the organizational model that best suits its needs, along with viable revenue generation methods it can implement towards self-sustainability. Our model included an in-depth analysis of risk factors, opportunity costs, and projected financial models, all of which will be used by The Center’s Strategic Planning Committee as they plan for the organization’s growth.
