Start of Freshman Year!
Hello WPI! My name is James Whyte. I am studying mechanical engineering and am finding a place in the WPI community after my first three weeks here. It’s been exciting to be in a new environment with so many opportunities! I’m working at the CDC as the new Social Media Student Worker. That means that I’ll be dealing with marketing the CDC’s events and connecting the CDC with the WPI community in the most efficient ways possible. I’ll be working to make sure students know what resources the CDC offers and what events are coming up. Current upcoming events include Resume critiques, the Fall Career Fair on September 21st, and many corporate presentations.
As a freshman, I will be utilizing many CDC services in the next few years! I’ll blog about my experiences as I go and hopefully stay on top of things. Internship and job searching is difficult but the CDC can make the process a lot less stressful.
